Partnership and Collaboration

Avant Partnership has extensive experience of working in partnership with a diverse range of delivery partners and has sound systems in place for sub-contracting, performance management and quality assurance of delivery by third parties and partner organisations. This was evidenced by the following statement in our last Ofsted inspection:

"Avant has developed a good range of policies and procedures to support its partners.  It has established clear protocols and guidelines for partners through detailed contract arrangements and service level agreements.  Data collection and management is good. Management information is accurate and thorough.”  Ofsted 2008

Avant sub-contracts for delivery through partnership arrangements. Current partnerships for delivery are:

Train to Gain—Funded through the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) our Train to Gain partnership offers a broad range of training to local employers, enabling them to improve the skills of their employees, encouraging them to value the benefits that learning and skills can bring.  Avant has held a contract for Train to Gain since 2006.

Young Apprenticeship—Funded through the Local Authorities our Young Apprenticeship partnership has expanded to offer the Young Apprenticeship programme since first securing a contract for Cohort 2 in 2005.  Avant has continuously explored the sector requirements across the Humber sub-region to ensure development and growth of the programme enabling Schools and Pupils access to a vocational experience.  The partnership now offers Young Apprenticeships in Business Administration, Hairdressing, Health and Social Care, Hospitality and Sports.

Avant is an accredited City & Guilds centre for the delivery of PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS and Learning and Development Awards, including Assessor and Verification Awards.  Avant offers a unique, flexible and tailored train the trainer programme leading to Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status.  Delivery takes place through Avant and uses our expertise for management and delivery and incorporates other delivery partners for specific aspects of the programme.

Avant is continuously exploring opportunities for innovative and flexible delivery.
