The requirements for licensed teachers, trainers and practitioners in the post 16 sector can be met through our partnership.

Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS)

The Level 3/4 PTLLS qualification is for Pre-service or In-service Teachers or Associate Teachers, and is aimed at candidates who:

  • Would like or require an introduction to teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector or
  • are seeking career progression within their area of work or
  • will be/are seeking to progress towards ATLS/QTLS status and/or
  • teach on a one-to-one and/or group basis
  • teach non publicly funded courses
  • are trainers in industry

Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS)

The Level 3/4 CTLLS qualification is for Pre-service or In-service Teachers or Associated Teachers, and is aimed at candidates who:

  • are deemed to be in an Associate Teacher role or
  • would like or require an introduction to teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector or
  • are seeking career progression within their area of work and
  • have access to 30 teaching practice hours (whether pre-service or in-service)
  • teach on a one-to-one and/or group basis
  • are trainers in industry

Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS)

The Level 5 DTLLS qualification is for Pre-service or In-service Teachers, and is aimed at candidates who:

  • are deemed to be in a Full Teacher role or
  • would like or require a full Level 5 qualification allowing them to teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector or
  • are seeking career progression within their area of work and
  • have access to a minimum 150 teaching practice hours (whether pre-service or in-service)
  • teach on both a one-to-one and group basis for a variety of learner, across a range of levels
